US President Joe Biden announced that they will provide 800 million dollars of additional weapons and defense aid to Ukraine.

In a written statement, Biden stated that he spoke with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky today and said, “I informed Zelenskiy that we have approved today’s arms, ammunition, and other defense aid to Ukraine.”

Biden stated that Ukraine uses the weapons provided by the USA very efficiently and said, “While Russia prepares to increase its attacks in the Donbas region, we will continue to provide self-defense aid to Ukraine.”

Biden noted that they will also send armored military vehicles and military helicopters in the aid package.

With the new aid package announced by Biden, the amount of defense aid provided by the USA to Ukraine since the beginning of 2021 has reached 3 billion dollars.
