Tensions rise again in Taiwan

Regular patrols are scheduled as the PLA ends military exercises in Taiwan.

In a statement made by the China Eastern Area Command, it was stated that the exercises in Taiwan have ended, and regular patrols are planned.

After the visit of the US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi to Taiwan, the Chinese administration quickly decided to exercise in the Taiwan Strait. While these exercises are expected to continue until August 7, the Chinese army announced that a new drill was started near Taiwan.

“China is brutally using military actions to disrupt regional peace and stability,” Taiwanese Prime Minister Su Tseng-chang told reporters over the weekend. We will never bow to pressure. “We defend freedom and democracy, and we believe that Taiwanese disapprove of China’s bullying at our door, showing strength and swinging a sword.”
