Tension in the crypto market

The downward momentum in cryptocurrencies over the weekend continued on the first day of the new week. Bitcoin again fell below $ 16 thousand.

The aftershocks of the earthquake created by FTX in the crypto asset market continue.

Bitcoin, the asset with the highest transaction volume in the market, has again seen below $ 16 thousand. Ethereum retreated to the $1,170 level.

The developments in the FTX event, which shook the market, had an impact on the market. Finally, the news came that Sam Bankman-Fried, the resigning CEO of FTX, was questioned in the Bahamas.

Cryptocurrency trading platform FTX Group announced Friday that it was filing for bankruptcy in the US and that CEO Sam Bankman-Fried is stepping down from his position.

Last week, there was a broad selling wave in cryptocurrencies after it was understood that FTX was experiencing liquidity problems and was on the verge of bankruptcy.

The US capital markets board, the SEC, launched an investigation against Bankman-Fried to determine whether clients’ assets were misappropriated.
