Russian energy company Gazprom’s announcement that it will stop gas flow to Poland and Bulgaria raises oil prices.

Barrel price of West Texas type crude oil continued to increase by 3.2 percent yesterday and exceeded $ 102 today. Russian energy company Gazprom announced that as of the morning of April 27, it will stop the flow of natural gas to Poland and Bulgaria.

In a statement yesterday, German Economic Minister Robert Habeck said that the country has reduced its energy dependence on Russia and that energy imports from the country have decreased from 35 percent to 12 percent.

The barrel price of West Texas-type crude oil for June increased 0.8 percent to $102.47, while the barrel price of Brent oil for June increased 0.2 percent to $105.79. Brent crude was up 2.6 percent yesterday.
