Russian energy company Gazprom has not ordered additional capacity at the Sudzha and Sokhranovka lines.

As the energy crisis continues to affect Europe, there are increasing signals that Russia will refrain from helping to ease the problem. Gazprom has not ordered additional capacity at the Sudzha and Sokhranovka lines, the entry points of the Russian-Ukrainian border, and at the German Mallnow station, which carries Russian gas between Belarus and Poland.

Putin had previously signaled that he would not give any additional gas to Europe before shipments began through the controversial Nord Stream 2 pipeline. It will now be watched whether Gazprom will offer additional volumes on the Electronic Sales Platform with its upcoming daily auctions.

Saudis Raise Oil Prices

Saudi Arabia sharply increased the price of the oil it sells in the USA, Asia, and Europe, responding negatively to the call of US President Joe Biden to OPEC+ members to accelerate oil production increases and stop the rise in prices.

On Friday, Saudi Aramco increased the price of Arab Light grade oil to its Asian customers by $1.40 to $2.70 for December.

This was the third-highest monthly increase of the current century.
