Two more companies joined the company migration from Russia. TikTok and Netflix have decided to suspend their operations in the country.

While the video-sharing platform TikTok has announced that it has suspended some of its services in Russia, the online streaming platform Netflix has also announced that it has stopped its activities in this country.

In a written statement from TikTok, it was reported that the Russian government’s recent decision on media regulation was effective in this step of the company. While TikTok has suspended live streaming and new content-sharing from Russia, it also stated that Russian users will no longer be able to see posts from other countries.

On the other hand, Netflix also announced in a written statement that it stopped its services in Russia, but the details of the decision have not been shared yet.

After Russian President Vladimir Putin approved the regulation, which provides for up to 15 years in prison for “spreading fake information” regarding the Russia-Ukraine war, numerous Western media outlets suspended their activities in Russia.
